Adryanne - Adryanne (EP)

New artist alert, Adryanne is up next, offering listeners a double dose of just what he has to bring to the table & let me just say when it comes to the potluck that is the musical palette, he’s brought over some ambrosia for us to dig into, immediately giving us that old school yet modernist R&B vibes & continue these onto the 2nd track, it’s like one is the daytime & the other is for the nighttime & Adryanne bares his heart & soul on both, these songs are obviously coming from a genuine place with the emotion that’s so tangibly felt when he’s riding over this glossiness so gracefully.

On “Tic Tac Toe,” he’s tired of playing the X’s & O’s games & maybe she is too. This whole she/he loves me, loves me not deal they got going on is just not working out, neither is ready for falling in love. However, there is something special here; maybe both of them just aren’t in the right headspaces to be making commitments that they can’t even drive to themselves, let alone one another. They’re both madly head over heels for one another. Still, it’s just not healthy if they want to maintain any sort of relationship; it’s like they’re zig-zagging through life, intentionally trying to strike a chord rather than lightly strum each other’s heartstrings.

It seems everything is over with now & “Friday Night” will never be the way it once was; life without her is seemingly unbearable. He’s hoping that they can make it work again somehow, but how long is he going to keep running back to something that’s long been broken? He’s not allowing himself to run back, though. Instead, he wishes her the best despite their differences, letting her know that it’s no hard feelings. Nothing but the utmost love for her & Miickey Metro comes through with the same energy, making for one hell of a nightcap of a record; let’s just hope he continues dropping smooth gems like this!
