KiddKill - The Godfather 2 (EP)
Last year, Chicago's fierce warrior in KiddKill staked his claim as "The Godfather" with four tracks that established his dominance, as well as struck fear into the opposition with its colossal production & Kidd's reckless rhyme style. He has the type of bars that'll snap you in half as easily as a pool stick when it hits the streets. He's going to go as far as he pleases as he chants his truth on the Duvin laced introduction, sounding menacing as ever, like a junkyard dog snarling at whoever dare lurks around his premises.
Smashing & grabbing on "GTA" as he rattles off each bar like it's a bullet, hitting any & everything that's in sight. Kidd is as ferocious as we've seen; he's like a hyena the way he eats these beats up, but even the beast must be tamed from time to time as he does for himself on the reflective "Maintain" where he ponders about the past while plotting his future. He's doing everything he can to keep his head above water & maintain his relevance in the game; it's a battle that he'll never bow out of, so for his opps, don't ever count him out.
This project is probably the darkest rendition of this production style I've heard & of course, Kidd slides on it, firing off rounds simultaneously. He's a dangerous man to play with & he's come to play on "CTR" then jetting away to better days on "Red Eye." "It Ain't Over" until he decides it is, and that tops off another excellent installment to his Godfather series, where he's able to showcase his uniquely vicious style. I, for one, am looking forward to more of this chaos from KiddKill; the death toll just added six more victims.
