Goon Des Garcons & Idle Kid - Hopscoth (Single)
I feel like I'm Emma Watson listening to The Wallflowers in "The Perks of Being..." one, the girl on the cover clearly does, but on "hopscotch, "we play a game. It's one for the races as Maniac Sounds' Idle Kid & GOON DES GARCONS reach speeds of such velocity that their vehicles will look like clunkers, just mangled up on the side of the road or dangling off a precipice. They're here to steer into one another like car collision, through being a crash test dummy for your little games.
You've just driven them around the bend, now they about to hit the curb. You can smell the rubber burning, maybe a little too much cause it seems like they about to kick the tires till they pop & not sure if they have any spares in the trunk. Maybe enough junk is in it to keep them pifficated enough to numb themselves to the annoyance she's causing. She might even need to swerve into the middle of traffic to run her off the road & into her own lane since that's where she goes in secret anyway.
Being their second drop of the year, Maniac Sounds label are already in for an impeccable year. This record is the kind of music to show off your ride to & to drag race, too; they have their whip hands behind the wheel as you're driving your little buggy whip. They're done going along for your ride just so you can latch onto their coattails; you're just a cog in the wheel who's continuously falling asleep at the switch in the relationship, then you're forever surprised by the damage every time. However, after it's all said & done, it's all gas & gaiters.
