Kerst Garcia - Marbach’s Most Wanted (Album)

After an excessive period of working & writing on what was first meant to be an EP that quickly turned into a full-length project, Kerst Garcia finally released his long-awaited follow-up to his "MarbachBaby Project" on Friday titled "Marbach's Most Wanted." The album would be his musical awakening by giving the listener a little bit more of himself to be familiar with while providing a proper introduction to his stature in the rap game. Kerst shared a little bit of history on the cover art to his project where he wanted to show his fans his prior convictions leading into his promising come-up. It's that type of detail that gets you to understand his raps more clearly, and I applaud him for doing that. From being locked down to now locking shit down with his music in his own city, which if that's not inspiration, then I don't know what is.

Kerst unleashes a captivating intro on this album as the record "La Mana" takes heed of his journey in the dope game, whipping work and flipping it to provide for his. While he's found a new way of hustling in music now, he can take the knowledge of his ups and down to use it to his advantage. Keeping it "One Hunnit" as always, Kerst has never had to fake any aspect of him; he's getting paid and supported by the masses in the process of being himself. He does not need to feel "Envy" of anyone; he made his own decisions on his accord, and while in the grinding phase, he continues to pursue his status of being a "Stunna." This life is "Do or Die" for him, and while he would like to continue living, he's changed his course of life decision to be more potent with his aspirations. His two biggest motivations of his Why U Hating record label have passed, he doesn't let you forget his fallen soldiers who have been by his side on "Primetime Kerst," he's on a mission to make them proud, so they can look down on him and see him in the spotlight with a smile on their face. The album is filled to the brim with diverse sounds, from the street-savvy tune of "Presumido" to the upbeat rump shaker of the Aliza1K-assisted track "Lil Mama." It shows the versatile sequences that Kerst has adjusted to from his last project that showcases his growth.

It's a body of work to give you 100% of Kerst Garcia, not saying his previous project didn't, but he's more open to let people in and know the real him; no need to hide anymore or no reason not to trust more since he now wears his heart on his sleeve throughout the album. One of my favorite tracks from the project is the outro record, "Make It Out," he starts off the record with a phone conversation between him and his girl. She's frustrated that he's not home with her and his son, but he calms the situation to let her know he's working in the studio and will be home soon. He wants to ease her mind that things right now seem rocky, but it's because he's putting his all into the music to give a better life for her and his son. She might not understand now, but she will in due time. He knows his time is precious and wouldn't make these sacrifices if he didn't know the outcome of his hard work would be grand. The album is his road to redemption, and right now, he has his eyes set on the finish line; we know his triumphant moment is near. He's put enough work and grind since his return that stepping back now would be a waste, Kerst has embodied his entire history in his music, and if you can take it in, then you'll know his story better. A Mexican who had all the adversities growing up to be a menace in the streets feeding off of hatred but instead took a deeper path into his journey and found a way out. This narrative is truly the shit you read about how great people in history overcame obstacles, and Kerst is no exception; we are witnessing a legend in the making.

Kerst is not letting his foot off the gas anytime soon; he's already in the finishing process of his next album titled "The Year Of The Mexican," said to be released sometime near the summer. The album title speaks volumes since this is his year for him to take this to the next level, and he's doing it with his people on his back to give them a better life into the promise plains. Please keep your eyes peeled on Kerst Garica in these upcoming months because he will be putting numbers on the boards like the Spurs in 99, and you don't want to miss it. Be sure to check out the album here while sharing it around on all social media platforms.
