Gawf feat Kova - I Know (Single)

Big Gawf, one of Texas mainstays, is back with his third release of the year, an acoustic tinged trap ballad, assisted by Kova, the two wear their heart on their sleeves, belting out an auto-tuned cry for help. Acknowledging that they’re helpless, deja vu for the two & hopefully, their request is met.

The cover art explains the feeling of drowning the emotion of helplessness can spawn, but what’s important is that the problem is acknowledged; most people won’t cause it can be seen as weak. Still, it’s powerful to admit your powerlessness. It’s the 1st step in genuinely getting better, out of old patterns, or trying to prevent yourself from slipping back into them.

They’ve been here too many times before, not just once, which has spoken to me on a personal level, lets me know people are feeling what I’ve been feeling too, so I’m not alone, we can get through this together, but we all need to be here for one another. Still, we also can’t live co-dependently, we’re responsible for our own happiness, but as long as we don’t bring others down with us, I’m sure they’ll be there for us.
