Mia Madden - Imminent Euphoria (EP)
Her debut EP is here & man, is it a splash of power pop deliciousness, elegantly crafted from start to finish. A groovy yet calming experience & while I think we’ve all been living a little too fast & doing a little too much. Just like she does for opening up the project with the request that you “Take a break,” its time for her to take charge of her own life like most people are during this time where true colors are being exposed daily.
Not going by just Mia, her “Alias” allows her to allow those emotions to come bursting out her musical artesian well, blending reflective lyrics with the ’80s tinged melodies. Then moving to early 2000’s alternative FM radio sounding hits like “Late July” & oh, what music fans like myself would do “Without You,” without artists like Mia that keep their influences alive & well for generations to come. She’s a “Goddess of Love,” she has more than enough to offer if you’re willing to accept it & I mean, regardless of whatever heartbreak she’s suffered for, we all have suffered from it in one way or another.
Not just bound to lovers, but in the end, it can only make you stronger, as it made her, ending her debut EP with damn near an episodical cliffhanger cause I already want to hear what she delivers next. If she can do everything she did here on an album, we’re in for one gorgeous out of body experience.
