Mélat - No Promises (Video)

Last year, Melat offered us episode one to “After All,” which included this standout track. Now that standout track has a heart-wrenching tear-jerker of a visual that I’m sure many people will gravitate towards emotionally. Thus further evoking the feeling they had to have had upon first hearing this cut from that album.

The video just like the record is very much subdued, almost somber in its elegance, the colors, mostly hues of purple are brilliant cause I don’t know about you all, but I’m feeling very purple lately, realizing that none of this was ever promised, Melat tackles this harsh reality we’ve been forced to face head-on with reflective beauty. If any record defines our year, it’s this one, it’s bittersweet & reminds us to truly cherish those times we had now if we didn’t admire them enough.

Once we get out of this, we must cherish those new moments; it’s slow-burning vibe lets us know it’ll be a while before we return to our friends & loved ones but forces us to be patient & devote ourselves to no longer take this life of ours for granted.
