Jubilee Valley - Purple Pain (Album)

Prince’s “Purple Rain” recently turned 36. Hence, it’s fitting that the versatile Jubilee Valley pays homage on “Purple Pain,” an almost perfect amalgamation of street-oriented raps & soulfully autotuned crooning, both sides of him felt immensely throughout.

“BIG JU” automatically stakes his claim in the game in the fiery introduction; he’s a “BADMAN” even when subdued. However, he’d instead would rather be laid up with a girl of the “JUICY” variety but even still, once that nightcap is over, he has to “WILD OUT” & demands you “TALK 2 ME NICE”, if you do, you can ride “SIDE 2 SIDE” with him.

“PUPPY LOVE” wounds up being a search for a “REPLACEMENT LOVE,” too many damn “SNAKES” slithering around his grass & he’s ready to mow over them with his raw vulnerability & conviction, “Purple Pain” will beat you til your black & blue.
