Fahey Lane - Zasquiat (EP)
In the middle of the month, Fahey Lane sent us his latest EP titled “Zasquiat” that plugged us in with 5-tracks that has production from the likes of RickLaFlare, Jay Jilla, Toinne of Chance Takers and the usual suspect behind the boards to his hits, OG Webbie. The tape has personal growth in it from previously reviewing content from Fahey Lane to now where you can still sense his appetite of ravaging in lyricisms but in a more sophisticated fashion that showcases his captivating charisma to excelling heights.
His intro titled after the project name is a perfect balance in engaging in a more diverse sound that we’ve hadn’t heard from him before that shifts his new mind frame to be in an impactful state of creativity that is progress heavily. The title of the EP, I believe, takes inspiration from street artist Basquiat where, in this case, Fahey captures a flow of abstract detail and melodic nature—making his masterpiece appear in a musical format that would transcribe as prophetic content spilled into heightening tempo.
With the EP finally out, he can now be at the finishing stages of releasing his full-length album titled “Devils In The Details” later in the year, and if this preview is any indication of what we can expect to hear from it, then I’m all for it. Until more content surfaces, we recommend for you to stream the project here while sharing it around on all social media platforms.
