Donnie Canvas - The Third (Album)
Earlier this week, we received a visual from Donnie Canvas off his recently released album “The Third” that sparked attention immediately since I really enjoyed the video and was intrigued to see of the rest of the project would provide the same sounded ambiance or if they would be much different which to my surprise it was a mixture of both but nonetheless this project became an incredible listen that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have it featured on the site today.
13-tracks with lyrical engagement throughout spawned a series of wordplay and wonderment-ed verses that complimented the prestige production that is bestowed upon this project. “The Third” is an remarkable feeling bunched up with emotions that pinpoint the rawness of Donnie Canvas aura to battle through with substantial lyrics and make heed of his rap presence among the tiers of scene in the city. His intro gives a description of powerful insights on what you can expect to hear in your listening experience especially going through it track by track for when you get to joints like “Lobotomy”, “Nimbus” & “Player 1” your already in a field of relaxation played on by his remarkable element to be a menace behind the mic that brings a glorious viewing to his craft. Along with him barring down with verses, Donnie adds in features from artists like Jordan Tyler & King Tez for a combination of musical onslaught that carries when respected emcees appear on the same track together and showcases the energy behind the creativity that it took to make this release a timeless masterpiece to cherish.
I’m excited to see if Donnie Canvas has more visual to follow after the release of this album since the story structure is what caught me to enjoy the Player 1 visual very much but who knows he may have some already in the vault just waiting to be dropped. Until more announcements surface, we hope for you to stream this album here while sharing it around on all social media platforms and as a bonus we’ll leave the DavieeDavee-directed video below for you to view as well.
