Tronineoh - Icntlv (Album) (Q&A Session)

There’s something oddly admirable about these simplistically melodic trap ditties that are so undeniably catchy but this collection of said ditties has a more spacey feel to them, one that’ll blast the listener throughout the solar system.

Instantly sucking you in like a black hole, Tronineoh invites you to otherwordly dimensions for out of body experiences on “Planet Out Alien” as y’all speed through the galaxy “Biscotti Pippen” making sure y’all “Keep sh*t Clean” as debris falls from the shattering of the stratosphere brought on by the sonic waves of “Icntlv”, prepare to be sucked up by your chest and into his UFO.

Check out the Q&A we did with Tronineoh down below.

Q: Being your debut album, what can you tell us about the creative process going into it?

Tronineoh: My creative process isn’t really normal. I ain’t rushing fa nobody. I actually have to sit back and go through shit before i put it down and give it to you. That’s what staggered the release of this project. I had a lot of shit going on so once i broke free i was able to fully express myself as best as i could.

Q: What was the reason behind the album title “Icntlv”, is there a meaning behind it in the music ?

Tronineoh: It’s abbreviated for “I Can’t Love” and the deepest meaning behind it is not embracing love from anyone. Put they loyalty before it all. I rather you show me your loyalty than tell me you love me. People get that shit mixed up but they go hand n hand.

Q: Was there a track that stood out to you during the writing process or made the experience enjoyable for you?

Tronineoh: All of them. All the tracks are special to me. I got shit on there from Summer 2018 and they still carry a special meaning to me. To be real particular the ‘Boof’ track just means a lot from how it was made down to each lyric. Me & Jordy made that sittin in his living room in Virginia. Free bro.

Q: You plan to have all the artists from Xcess records on the project, was that always the plan or did it change up during recording?

Tronineoh: Yea I have every XCESS member featured on this project. It was never the plan actually i was planning to go no features. But once i seen people step up n go crazy on tracks i had to show y’all what they had going on. MikeTooTatted showed out on the ‘FlowerPot’ track and from there i already had the Jordy feature, so i just scrapped up the Reek Lowe feature. It was only right.

Q: You shared with us a track featuring Reek Lowe, did you feel like that track set the example of what we can expect from the rest of the project?

Tronineoh: That track is so crazy but each track kinda sets it’s own bar. It definitely gives you what to expect energy wise but i unlocked a new flow every track, so they won’t correlate.

Q: The project was described to us as “an heartbreak vibe mixed with revenge”, were there tracks that you felt described that perfectly for you?

Tronineoh: You’ll be able to go through each track and pickup game on how to control yourself through a heartbreak but most importantly how to come out on top no matter what. Yo bounce back gone be remembered before yo downfall will.

Q: Did you feel like you let your emotions gathered up your verses or was it more of a sit down and ponder type of process?

Tronineoh: It was a mixture. Most of it was emotions but a lot of it was pondering too. Cause i’ll sit here and think on a situation so long before i write it in a song. But i’ll be jotting down my emotions in a non rhythmic way. That’s free game i can’t give out no more lol.

Q: Among the release of the album, do you have plans to follow it up with visuals or any other releases?

Tronineoh: I’m finna sit back and work on my clothing line now. I might drop a visual but my main focus is my brand now. I got enough music to drop another tape today. I gotta continue to spread my peas in separate pots.

Q: You start the second month of 2020 with a new album, what more can we expect to see from you and your lablemates?

Tronineoh: Y’all can expect to see consistency further on. We be sitting back letting niggas crash out but now we fasho dippin n dappin. We got a MikeTooTatted EP coming around April/May. Jordy gotta shit ton of music & should be out following Mikes project. Then Reek Lowe gone buss they heads. It’s gone be an XCESSIVE YEAR.
