Dende feat Chris Patrick & Bairi - Phone Number (Single)
After posting about Bairi, we saw that she was featured on a new record from Houston crooner Dende titled "Phone Number." He had her & New Jersey native Chris Patrick on a soulful ballad that if you acquired their 7-digits would you call to come over, would you reach out to hear how they were doing and if they need someone to talk to, would you respond?
It's a powerful reflection on how we view the closest people to us since I know people who have my number and don't hear from them until they need something from me, but never to extend on how I'm doing or how things are going in my life. From the chorus combination with Bairi & Dende, they dig into questioning if they should give you their phone number. Would you answer if they called? They state this in a melodic cadence since they've been hurt by this objective before, and while they share their heart on their sleeve, it's something they've had to cope with this displeasing notion. The first verse with Dende explains that you've become space residing in his phone at this point. They don't have your back as you have yours. It's a loss that you accept but ain't letting it affect you no more since it's something you dealt with in the past and no how to get back. You need to earn the trust, know what you're getting into when dealing with the person you want in your life. Answer yourself this is the call or text meant for your personal gain or theirs. If it's yours, then it's best to save your time and theirs. Chris Patrick is on the second verse to describe wanting someone to help accompany the pain, not hear about the gossip talk but to slid where companionship is needed. They want to be on course with someone to chill with, vent with, feel intimate with, and still sharing the favor of asking about how the day is going for them. The record gets anchored by Bairi, adding in harmony to the already heavenly structured chorus that closes out the track on peak providence for an ambiance during your listening experience.
A genuine message over sensational sounds is much appreciated by the trio, who has done a stunning job of gaining new listeners to the craft. We hope this post helps continues putting people on to the record and see it gain plays. If you haven't heard the track yet, stream it here while sharing it around on all social media platforms.
