Norman Ba$e - ODB (Video)
Yesterday evening Norman Ba$e released a new record titled "ODB" in a visual dubbed over the 70's live-action/animated Ralph Bakshi film Coonskin that features voice-over work by Scatman Crothers, Philip Thomas & Barry White. The graphical representation went along so well with the track since the gritty lyrical brash that Norman brings along with him in the record deals in the street life's grimy nature in these sinister raps.
The movie goes over organized crime in Harlem that deals with corruption in law enforcement and mafia dealing with displays of austere in the film's back and forth setting. When holding this joint over the flame, expect it to ignite the whole city on fire; Norman takes no prisoners with this track. He stays with the Booker T on his side like he's in Harlem Heat, he wants the gold, and you bet he's coming for you n****gz. Norman isn't going broke anytime soon, so don't front on the hustle. He's never turning his back from the hood; he'll flip packs, get stacks and bring it back to the hood; gang signs out the window with the beam on the chrome-like he's playing Super Nintendo. These are filings in his pens game that are too lethal to be spoken on, and while he's diabolical with the wordplay, you can hear the street's history behind the lines. His sound is how crack is distributed in the Carter with it calling on the fiends to served them up the base, the young Nino is serving weight with this record, and we're taking hit after hit like Pookie after relapse. Production by Yadnus is cooked up something crazy for the streets, and I'm glad to be introduced to his wave with this single as well. I know most will compare to Griselda, BSF & more but don't the comparisons fool you, Norman has been doing for a while now, and I think this will be the one to wake up those still sleeping on his raps.
Along with the release, he did announce that an EP with him & Yadus titled "twenty four twenty five" would be dropping soon. Expect more audio dope like this to deliver in the new year but until then, keep the highs going with his latest record by running up the views via YouTube and sharing it around on all social media platforms.
