Bairi - Star Projectors (Video)

The art of the cover song isn’t discussed enough to me, the purpose of a cover being to either totally eviscerate the original song & somehow make it your own or simply just sing the song as is. There’s a lot to appreciate in either way you choose to crumble the cover cookie & Bairi manages to do a little of both on her cover of Drake & The Weeknd’s “Crew Love” with her “Star Projectors” video.

This visual is fitting, being that the cut is off of “Take Care,” & that critically acclaimed album of his just recently celebrated its 9th anniversary. So it’s beautiful to see & hear Bairi pay homage to inarguably the most prominent artist of this generation. If anyone can get this to Drake, it would be appreciated; surely, he would love to see someone do his work justice.
