Gawf - Big Gawf 2 (EP)

On the follow up to his 2018 release "BIG Gawf," Gawf strives to elevate his sound with seven more installments to his ever-growing catalog. Things kick off with "Latenight Earlymorning," which finds him apologizing for always keeping his nose to the grindstone, never being able to be there cause he's busy making his moves entirely. Still, if you weren't there when he was struggling by his damn self, you don't have a right to complain. The most reflective number on here & a great way to begin, J Allan, offers a soulfully minimalist trap beat for him to bleed his woes over.

"Bad Lil Vibe" finds him recollecting his thoughts after a long night, even longer bender where the ZootedHeist assisted "Krazy" finds both artists pleading with the demons in their head & the people they love. It's something that can't be fixed where "Slimwaist" finds him admiring a bad bitch from afar. He understands that he has to save himself & apologizes to his mother for sins he may have committed. He's begging for forgiveness, just losing himself along the way & is trying to find himself again, maybe someone else who gets him so he won't "Die Alone."

Things close somberly & reflectively on the stripped-down version of "Sober," a massive curveball from what we're used to from Gawf & a fitting way to approach this concise & carefully crafted EP & again with these old school-esque covers!
