King Khali - Everything Is Not Okay (Video) dir by SpidieWebHer prod by Duvin
One year later and “Poor Decision, Good Intention” is now a classic. I don’t like using the word classic so heavily especially since nowadays everything is a “classic” but when I do label an album that I want to make sure that I can leave it for a year and come back to it with feeling either the same way when I first listen to it or feel like it approved drastically better by time. Just like the finest of wines, the project still holds high as it did when it was first released but it made me feel me attentive towards Khali’s craft since he has grown in his music and feels like he’s already told you his past and now it’s time to share his present with y’all ( double entendre muthafucka, don’t got to be a rapper to do it either). To cherish the one year anniversary of PDGD, he decided to release a visual from the project that happens to be a personal favorite of mine, “Everything Is Not Okay”, where I can truthfully say I shed some tears when hearing the track for the first time and seeing the video direction lead by SpidieWebHer really bought the canvas to life in making this Duvin-produced spark a light back into remembrance. The album cover told more than you know, Khali has spoke on multiple occasion throughout the album of what poor decisions was made and how they affected him but nothing goes as far as this track did, he tore what he had left at the time and gave his heart on the line that spoke in volumes of what went through his mind thinking that his demise was coming. He painted the picture that things might be looking good on the outside but inside things went fall from being from perfect and expressed greatly here in the track that made the emotional drive feel like a journey. I can’t express how much this track has influenced the scene in to actually putting your fears on the line and expressing it all in the voice you have in what we call music with a passion.
If you haven’t gave this latest visual from King Khali a view then we highly recommend you do and be sure to continue listening to PDGD in rotation. (Salute)
