KP Tha Profit & City - Profit City (Album)
Let me start off by thanking KP Tha Profit & City for bringing together such an incredible album that I had the pleasure to hear month before it’s intial release. The rollout for the album was something different that the city hasn’t seen before something similar to how Nipsey promoted Crenshaw by selling the first 100 copies for $1000 but in this case they gave the opportunity for day one fans, supporters, hip hop enthusiasts and really just anyone who loves there music the chance to hear the album early and also be laced up with exclusive gear to promote the album for only $50. The amount of support I saw leading up to its actual release date which is today was definitely overwhelming and I’m sure the duo takes this victory to the heart being only a mere hours since it dropped, it’s already flooding all social media with much more to be seen throughout the weekend continuing for weeks ahead. Now that I’ve expressed that train of thought let’s get to the music, the album consists of 10-tracks that will draw you in quickly thanks to the intro being sung by Jack Freeman who does an amazing rendition of Bobby Bland’s Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of City while Geezo preaches over expressing the street gospel. Moving throughout the project you’ll hear KP & City express the hustle and grind that it takes to get them to where there at, you’ll hear the heart of a beast as they go back and forth lyrically spitting street anthems, storytelling gems and bass hitting bangers over some of the most glorious production curated by VenoTheBuilder (Track#9 feature & produce by Kydd Jones) who has done an remarkable job for catching the right mood to set when you cruise to the album that you best believe I know first hand since the day I got my Profit City pack the album hasn’t left rotation in the whip. I’m excited to see what the city thinks of the album since these are two artists that have paved the way to bring you classic music and to see them team up by bringing together a city bonding project will definitely be showcasing it as the finest album coming out of the city but in all honesty if you personally ask me I’m even more excited to see what the world thinks of the project cause I know once it’s out there then it’s all sewn up for succes for these two. Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t yet I like to welcome you to Profit City down below and hope you enjoy your stay like I currently am. (Salute)
