Official SXSW SA Representers
"If SA Current won't recognize then I will"
So I've seen a few other sites showcase the talent that San Antonio has to offer but they never showcase the hip-hop artists of my city & if the SA Current won't do that then that's where the WAVEZ comes in, this isn't shots fired towards the Current but this is a chance to give props to the official artists who will be performing at SXSW to represent our city that they pretty much forgot about. We don't do that here this is a platform for us to express the legends, tastemakers & more importantly the artists of San Antonio....so with that being said I'm gonna shine light to the artists that SA Current didn't give that light to.
Question
First off if your not familiar with Question you might have been living under a rock your whole life. Dude has been killing it for years in the music business not only in the city but outside as well from making hits , many moves in film & studio progress also to just being a mentor to a lot of the youth in our city I take every post from Question to keep moving out here & stay consistent he definitely motivates me to keep progressing forward & most definitely paved a way for artists here as well as add another successful artist out of Texas to do major things (salute)
KP Tha Profit
KP Tha Profit is a very talented artist who we have not had the pleasure of linking up with yet but respect in every way to support his dream & music anyway we can. Dude always expresses his welcome everytime we write about him & definitely is a huge part of what the WAVEZ is able to accomplish in the city. We really enjoy homie's music a lot and are definitely always on the lookout for new music from him along with any other dope accomplishments he makes here in the city. (salute)
Worldwide
Man I can do a whole post explaining what the homie Worldwide has done for us, reviewing his album & showcasing his music on the site really opened doors for us. He may not know this but I give credit where credit is due. Worldwide is the truth & im honored to have met with him & chopped it up for a few. Dude is very respected & feared on the mic (I mean have you heard dude music? He kills a 16 with ease) he has released enough examples of this that you should be woke on homie's music. (salute)
Third Root
Now Third Root did receive recognition from the SA Current but once again this isn't any shots towards them this is just recognizing the artist here in San Antonio that are representing at SXSW so why not talk about them? Third Root deserves every light of recognition...always. They're a group of talented artists that I'm glad to see the rise of. Being a fan of hip-hop in my city, I'm glad to see them entering the spotlight more & I know that this is just the beginning for them. (salute)
There's just no way to express hip-hop in these streets of San Antonio without mentioning these artists. I mean there's just no excuse as these are our city's SXSW representers & I acknowledge them and yall should too.
