Danny Brown & Black Kray invade Austin on the same day

Last Thursday, Resound Presents hosted two amazing events on the same day, with back-to-back success following in the aftermath, and we know that firsthand since we happened to split the team up and attended both shows. First up was Danny Brown, who touched down in Austin for part of his “Quaranta ‘24” tour alongside Alice Longyu Gao & Brusier Wolf; where the show started with exhilarating performances with anticipation to see the “Really Doe” artist take the stage behind the doors of Empire Control Room, where the night was limitless of fun and waving hands enjoying the eccentric cadence of Danny Brown.

Right up the road is where the other half of the team, including myself, were posted to see Goth Money Record’s Black Kray, Kane Grocery, Hunned Mill, BOOTYCHAAIN & more for a sold-out event live at Mohawk. From the moment the DJ started cutting, the place was ecstatic, where the carnage was turned up to 100 & immediately filled the front stage and stairs of Mohawk with fans awaiting to see the 700 Degreez artist reign in Austin. It was a collaborative event by Resound & Restless shows, who both did a phenomenal job of ensuring everyone in attendance had fun at the event, creating memorable moments to talk about.

With a night to witness and celebrate two phenomenal shows, you couldn’t ask for more from a promotional company, and everyone knows Resound Present does it better than everyone in Texas. Honorable mention to both venues for their gracious hospitality & Restless Shows, who is becoming one of our favorite promoters for hip-hop events with a lot more to be seen from them in the future.
