An Ode To DIOS
At the beginning of the month, Carter & myself touchdown in the beautiful city of Houston, Texas. While the weather leading up to our drive wasn’t the best experience due to the extreme weather conditions, it cleared up once we reached the cityscape of the downtown area. I was exhausted from attending the Royal Rumble the night before and driving about 7 hours to and back. Still, the trip was necessary since it was for business, but we happened to make time for ourselves before heading back home. Since we were already in the downtown area, we decided to hit up the newly located Dios shop, where our time was met with an opportunity for enlightenment.
From the clothing to the rich history on their walls, the DIOS shop inspired us greatly. Seeing some of the highlights that the Texas culture has seen was motivation; I’ve known about all the moments posted on the wall since I’ve lived to see them. Carter didn’t realize the importance only due to the fact he was born after these accomplishments had happened and didn’t know too much of the history as I did, so It became a teaching and learning moment for us. We stayed looking at the four walls of the Dios shop & we wanted our names to be among the greats in Texas & its record-breaking history books. We yearn for the push to want our photos to be presented in a public manner showcasing our talent and artistic nature as Le$ & Jorgey did to their shop. We started discussing goals and business plans to secure something similar for our outlet. The ideas were coming, and inspiration was flowing. Both Le$ & Jorgey created something special with the brand, not just wearable art but dedication & hope. I had the pleasure to see them come up as a fan and then grow up to write about it, still supporting and being inspired every time they push out a new collection or share a new endeavor. Their place in the arts is so uplifting; they are much more than just legendary figures in the resectable field but the blueprint to chase your dream into a reality. The brand’s motto was much more than just a title, but a way of living; I commend and respect them for the hard work they put in all these years
The wall in their shop meant so much to us where we strive to make greatness in everything we do, to hope that one day our hard work is put on display for being pioneers in our great state. One day, it’ll come, and we’ll earn our spot eventually. I implore anyone with a dream to be creative in Texas to visit the wall at the Dios shop, see what success came before you, and work on leaving your legacy for the future.
