Toasting To The Wins At The Players Ball
This past weekend, KP Tha Profit bought out family, friends & fans over to Espuelas for an exclusive event he called “The Players Ball.” The event was enriched with a variety of creatives and artists, including opening performers Vitti, Lil Yodaa & Roland Ryan, being in attendance to celebrate an incredible win for the city. KP Tha Profit, a veteran emcee who’s been grinding & working hard over the years in the music scene, still puts up Jordan numbers, especially on his latest album, “F**k The Industry,” which has become one of the city's most respected & highly praised projects in the year. He had been heavily promoting the project before following it up months after to promote the show with an opportunity to see the album performed in a live setting which had an impactful turnout.
Hosting for the night was Mazi of Mazi’s World podcast, who kept the crowd in attendance full of laughs and exuberant energy before each performer hit the stage. Vitti, recently introduced to by the illustrious previously mentioned podcast, sang his heart out in a deep and passionate state that genuinely made us instant fans of his ethereal vocals. Another vet in the league, Lil Yodaa, whose moniker as the Worst Rapper In Texas is still proving false as he touched the stage next and left the atmosphere smelling like the gas pack from the fire he ignited on the mic. Rocking on the 1s & 2s for the evening was Roland Ryan, who’s still fresh off the release of his acclaimed debut tape “Las Palmas,” in which we got to hear a few joints in an intimate live setting that took our souls for a drive through the nightlife of the westside area. The night came to an end but not before KP touched down on the stage, took a few swigs of the liquor in his double “F**k The Industry” cup & toasted the night away with a formidable performance. Having City & FMG Knotts hit the stage, along with having a band, makes it more memorable to see KP do something different yet turn the stage into his own kingdom, which he roams with pride.
If you miss the night, don’t worry because it was all recorded by Eyevin F & The OCD’s SKRILLZ, who had done a phenomenal job of having those in attendance relive the moment and those who didn’t feel left out of not being able to experience a grand evening of music, artistry, & enjoyment. We also salute those vendors that held the fort down and shared a lot of information about their brand, including Bexar, who provided a detailed description of their garments, shipping process & tags that made it a more impressive wear to rock & respect. We also know that some could not grab a Players Ball tee due to high demand, so thanks to the Mazi’s World podcast, they will have some more made, which you can enter their DM to get one so y’all hurry and purchase yours before they sell out again. Thank you to KP & those who had a hand in making this event one to remember and one for the history books here in the music scene.
