Watch The Tone: Podcast Edition
San Antonio is a city of creatives in everything: music, art, fashion, photography, etc. I mean, the list goes on to show the importance of how amazing the scene is here. We get lost in the flashing lights of seeing one person's success flood others' ego, leading to hate, which is never necessary. We should be uplifting each other and stay connected in frequency to mimic other cities' success who are seeing waves of artists make it out. I start with this introduction for a purpose; I see many people who have had their hands in assisting with molding the city's talent and thought that they should get the appreciation they deserve, and a way to do it is to uplift them on our site here today. Down below are some of my favorite podcasts I listen to daily. Some are ones that I just recently got introduce to during the quaratine period. From what I hear so far, it's all good conversations that interact with music, food, intimacy sessions & wild ass topics that I won't get too much into since I don't want to disappoint your listening experience. Just know it's all great content to enjoy. I appreciate the voices behind the art, and you all should do the same; if I didn't get your podcast plugged into this post, then let's change that. Send us your podcast to our email, and we'll be sure to check it out to add it to our listening collection.
Cheap Suits Podcast
Whenever people think of Dynamic Duo, they think of duos like Duncan & Robinson, Kobe & Shaq, Hall N Nash, Peanut Butter and Jelly (you get the point), but no one other than Mazi & Starr of Cheap Suits podcast will crack you up the same and have you wanting more by every episode. Named after the fan-favorite line in Rush Hour 2, these two engage in conversation with such laid back demeanor you can't help in getting hooked in with the laughter & topics they go over. They have featured guests occasionally, but due to the pandemic, they have just been keeping it light among them two to hopefully see guests come back towards the end of the year. They have inspired me over the months since they approach the culture in an innovative way that many others are not near reaching and the blueprint they’ve secured ovet the years keeps them on the continuous peak of success while rising. Stay updated with the podcast which they drop weekly and peep the latest episode below.
Tune Talk
Keeping it different, Tune Talk sticks to Facebook & Instagram Live to keep talks forwarding on as the first half of their episodes start with playing music with hosts Dayy & Kam then moving into interviewing artists, group of creatives, or tastemakers in the city. They do things with energy and vibrance throughout their hour session that doesn't even feel like a podcast sometimes, think of it like a house party that you can see but can't get in to because of the exclusivity. As funny as that sounds, I'm sure that's how they would describe it themselves. Peep close to their social media to see when they go live; you won't be disappointed.
Velvet Vibez Podcast
I got to sit down and be introduced to the Velvet Vibez podcast by their main host, Velvet Jugganault, via Artist Legit’s Media Panel some months back where he explained some of the great things we can come to expect by listening in to the episodes. His other co-hosts consist of Lynneopoly & Scorpion King. They dish into conversations that can be over music, news, entertainment & bedroom mannerism that sounds like a late-night FM radio. You get lost into the wonders of the fantastic vocal spread by the greatest podcast in the muthafucking world. Get that straight y’all and dive in deep to the podcast.
On The Wax Podcast
Their description on Facebook couldn't be on the money as "LB & J-Hen put the latest in sports news, current events and entertainment on Wax." Such an excellent way of describing the podcast since they do that and more especially when guests are present since they have more of a drive to ask some hard-hitting questions and deliver in a conversational format. As a new listener, I've enjoyed what I heard so far and will be plugged in more for the future ahead since they stay on top of serving up episodes weekly.
210 Culture Podcast
G, Donna & Dom are the 210 Culture Podcast where they start in talks with local business owners, creatives of all kinds & many more where they are present on Pub Radio broadcast but can be heard on all streaming services & their social media as well. They are one of the staples of a podcast to be in the know of the city's most refined foods and services that you can't help to enjoy over and over again. They a group of people we’ve seen cater to all forms of creativity throughout the city and hope to see their success continue on.
Radioactive Podcast
What's up to Ace Boogie from Radioactive Podcast who I've recently just got started in knowing more about his podcast that features a live wire of conversation from politics, daily news & music, of course. Throughout his YouTube channel, the podcast features in-depth interviews with guests, which is a must-see and hear for anyone in the city. I definitely will be taking time in my day more to stay familiar since he has a sound for a podcast that keeps it moving well.
The Plug Podcast
President Q & Jay Alamo are a foundation like no other. They have been on track to create some of the dopest content in interviewing people like Los Angeles Rams WR Josh Reynolds, Jiggity Jay, P. Hill & more. This duo has been putting work in for years and continues to express gratitude towards the city's talent.
