Vigil For Nipsey Hussle: The Marathon Continues - San Antonio (Video) shot by OCD Creates

Much love and respect to my brotha Intreago who set up a night to pay respects to Crenshaw’s own Nipsey Hussle who had passed on March 31, 2019. He was a father, a king to his queen and someone who raised attention to making his community stand strong and alive with relief. Last Friday, the Bubbly Boba & Chill was filled with creatives, tastemakers and music lovers who were touched by Nipsey Hussle’s craft whether it be the lyrics he spit or the words of wisdom he shared.

People from all over the world were in attendance for this vigil even some LA peeps who made sure there attendence was known since they traveled far to pay there respects. Speakers gave passionate words about Nipsey’s life and what his music meant to them in a personal way. Rapper Question was suppose to be present speaking about the time he had with his dear friend Nipsey but unfortunately he wasn’t able to make it out, regardless his energy was in the right place with us at Bubbly Boba.

At the end of the night, we had blue & white balloons spread out in the atmosphere even shutting the road in front of the shop 100 deep, singing and praising the life of Nip. I don’t write this to talk down on anyone or any other vigils happening but I write this to share awareness of a night that the city turned blue, not due to the sadness but due to the passionate people who cherish a life of someone outside Texas that moved the world with his words.
