Pack Static - Pack Land (EP)
King Kay, Grant, L.T. & new member Big Texas more than deliver on this new extended play of theirs, these guys have always kept busy, working like sleeper cells or assassin bugs landing on faces in the night but there’s hardly any of that sparring on here, this is just good music, indie hip hop for the everyman.
We got Kay & Grant crooning together criss cross applesauce on the “Lawn”, thinking of special somebodies, all four assassins slinging mud over the grittily sludge of “New Challenger”, L.T. & grant waxing poetic third eye openly over the almost ambient celestial rhythms of “See Dat”, Kay & L.T. keeping their noses to their own grindstones on “925” or newest member Big Texas big flexin on “Ascended Texas”.
These are fellas who simply care about their own craft & only keep getting sharper & sharper as a result, their production choices keep getting sharper & sharper, this selection here all over the place quite like the album art, all in all, it’s a fine addition to the Pack’s every growing catalog, one fans of the Static these guys have been bringing will rejoice in for centuries to come & instead of catalog, let’s say “Kingdom”, just out of respect for King Kay, if you know you know.
