Coach Tev - No Worries, This Is Fine (EP)

Coach Tev has had quite the year, hit them with “A Triangle Offense,” made it “Home by Dawn” to deliver us his 3rd EP offering, “No Worries, This Is Fine.” Almost instantly, the anecdotal storytelling is mixed in with the smog in the room on “Oct 15” Tev never sounded so crisp with how nimbly he guides you through his day; he’s grateful. However, there’s a certain aura of paranoia looming over once something fucks it all up.

Entrepreneur talk, no, boss talk on “Dame Dash,” sluggishly dropping jewels all over the red carpet then stumbling his way into the after-party to “Party w Friends.” Linking up with TrapMama for a zany banger, but before too long, reality kicks in on “Mar 20”. Life is seeming stagnant; many of us are tired of the isolation, but Tev knows he can’t be complaining. Life is great, even if only relatively speaking.

On the daunting banger “Can’t FWU,” Coach calls on Lexxay & Devy Stonez to channel their inner resentment & ignorance to deliver the ultimate ‘I love you but fuck you’ anthem, but we’re past that. He’s on the go on the groovy & jazzy reflective outro “Ricardo Tubbs,” meeting with Blake Cris to lift these anchors & head off overseas & no worries, this is fine, this is the life he’s destined to lead so, he’s always on the go.
