Mj Apollo - Last Year Having Friends 2 (Album)

Towards the end of the year, Mj Apollo had made an announcement that his follow up album “Last Year Having Friends 2” would be released at the start of the new year and to hold us over until then he had dropped the visual to “Wishing Fountain”( a track that later would be seen on the project) that made an impressive case that the rest of the album would be something to hold anticipation for. Mj attached his emotions to every build for this project where he developed a sorcery technique to cast a batch of galvanize verses & clandestine wordplay that will send a chill down your thrilling spine.

Conceived in 9 tracks, Mj caught my attention with the tracklist that has the intro titled “Sunrise” & the outro “Sunset” in which that detailed that we would be getting a change in cycle in between especially the way that he has the features from Yo$hitmit$u & Mateo Sun seen towards the end so we can get the clear pointed view of Mj in the realm of his creativity. He brings caution to his rhymes in such tracks like “Jane Doe” & “Imagee” since it sounds more existential in them to get reaction from his engaging mood and with other joints like “Guess This Where I Leave You” & “Nightmares Turned Fantasy” you can hear the thoughtful impressions fed into his feelings. A haunting masterpiece is what this album should be labeled as since it brings out Mj at his most vulnerable setting but still expands on his creative process that is just adding in his spectacular catalog and gives us another example why he’s that 1/1 artist.

We’ve spent years talking about Mj Apollo and I can tell you I never get tired of it, he impresses me with his music since it’s not comparable. He just expresses himself better than others and that’s real. I do hope to see more visuals from the album surface in the future but I don’t want to speak too much on it because it could already be in the works. In the meantime while we wait for it, be sure to stream the project here and make sure to share it around on all social media avenues. (SALUTE)
