EDF - Westheimer Superstar (Album)

Hitting our email earlier in the month was the newly released album from Houston artist EDF titled “Westheimer Superstar” that introduce me to an artist that I was unfamiliar with which didn’t take long for that to change since he delivered a promising project that shed light on his southern roots that complied in this 10-track sonata that gave a substantial example that trill music is alive and well in the generation that seems to have forgot it.

Drapped up and dripped out, EDF swangs through in the cut with verses that are composed of signature wordplay as he unleashes a barrage of heavy hitting storytelling that is discovered greatly throughout the aura he embellishes throughout the project. He is assisted with verses from artists like Yella, Rawheem George Young & veterans in the game like Stalley, GLC & Slim Thug that ignite a series of looks that puts the H-Town all star on everyone’s radar. Developing from start to finish, EDF pays homage to the legends before him as he channels his inner Chad Butler, Bernard Freeman, Premro Smith, Marlon Jermaine Goodwin & many others especially in tracks like “Mayne” & Broken” that sets an accelerating glaze towards EDF to be labeled as the new face of Texas Underground rap.

EDF came dine with an remarkable tale that I think should be heard throughout the Lone Star State & beyond that will surely grow on you after just one listen of the intro. Up above via Apple Music will be the album available for you to stream as well as share it on all social media platforms. (Salute) - Frank
