JAH - To The Girls I Shouldn’t Mention (Album)

JAH may have just offered us the perfect nighttime record with her latest album, a dreamy collection of odes that masterfully balances the line between Hip Hop & R&B.

The albums lone feature is felt for nobody other than Angel Cintron who fit into this album and the two compliment each other so beautifully, whether she’s vowing to return the favor if your girl does her a favor first on “Top Down”, proclaiming how highly she speaks of her sex game on “She Said” or letting her know she can’t stay in this toxic relationship (“I Can’t Stay”), JAH manages to capture this wide array of emotions and pack them into an ethereal meditation on sex and love.

It’s the vulnerable moments like “H.D.Y.D.I.”, “I Can’t Stay” and “Dear Anne” that’ll really connect with listeners and possibly have them evaluating or reevaluating their love lives, thank god she mentioned the girls she shouldn’t have mentioned.
